Violation A caregiver was not knowledgeable of the needs of children as evidenced by four 2-year old children were being napped in porta cribs that were too small for them to be napping comfortably; in addition, it is not developmentally appropriate for children over 2 years to be napping in porta cribs. Licensing Rule Reference 19 CSR 30-61.105 The Day Care Provider and Other Day Care Personnel 1 (C) states: Caregivers shall be eighteen (18) years of age or older, have knowledge of the needs of children, and be sensitive to the capabilities, interests, and problems of children in care. Correction Required Caregivers shall be 18 years of age or older and meet childcare personnel requirements.

Violation The daily activities for preschool and school-age children did not include developmentally appropriate play experience and activities as evidenced by four two-year old children (25 month - 32 month) were observed sleeping in a porta crib. Children over two-years old developmentally should be napping on cots; sleep equipment should be properly sized for the children napping on/in it . Licensing Rule Reference 19 CSR 30-61.175 Child Care Program 2 (B) 1 states: Developmentally appropriate play experiences and activities planned to meet the interests, needs, and desires of the children. Correction Required Daily activities for preschool and school-age children shall be provided as required.

Violation Requirements for immunization reports on file were not met as evidenced by required immunizations verifying the type of vaccine and the month, day and year of administration was not on file for 2 child(ren). Licensing Rule Reference 19 CSR 30-61.185 Health Care 4 (A) states: No child shall be permitted to enroll in or attend any day care facility caring for ten (10) or more children unless the child has been adequately immunized against vaccine preventable childhood illnesses specified by the department in accordance with recommendations of Immunization Practices Advisory Committee (ACIP). The parent or guardian of the child shall provide satisfactory evidence of the required immunizations. Satisfactory evidence means a statement, certificate or record from a physician or other recognized health facility or personnel, stating that the required immunizations have been given to the child and verifying the type of vaccine and the month, day and year of administration. Correction Required Child immunization requirements shall be completed and on file as required.
