19 CSR 30-62.082 Physical Requirements of Group Day Care Homes and Day Care Centers (1) (E) states: Porches, decks, stairwells or other areas in approved child care space having a drop-off of more than twenty-four inches (24") from which children might fall and be injured shall have an approved railing or approved barrier. The railing or barrier shall be constructed to prevent the child from crawling or falling through or becoming entrapped.

D. states: The crib mattress or playpen pad shall be sized correctly to the crib or playpen, in good condition, waterproof and kept clean and dry, be firm and maintain its shape even when the fitted sheet designated for that model is used, such that there are no gaps between the mattress and the side of the crib or playpen. Only fitted sheets shall be used. Only fitted sheet shall be used and shall be changed immediately when soiled or wet.
