The provider did not meet requirements for a criminal background check. Results were missing for: DeAnna Behrens, Kira Parker, Jacqueline Mitchell, Paige Ruffin, Catherine Behrens, Mikayla Atchison, Josie Wagner. All staff have been fingerprinted, an FSCR has been requested, and the Background Notification Form has been sent to the Background Screening Unit. Facility is awaiting results from the Section for Child Care Regulation.
Licensing Rule Reference
19 CSR 30-62.052 License Renewal (4) states: Child care staff members shall have qualifying background screening results on file as required by 19 CSR 30-63.020 General Requirements, prior to renewal of the license.

Bright Start Academy disagrees with the state's decision to include staff eligibility letters as a "violation" on our renewal report. At the time of our License Renewal on June 6, 2019, we were still waiting for the state to send back some eligibility letters that we sent in by the January 31, 2019 deadline. This is completely out our control, so we do not believe it should be listed as a "violation:
