Violation A caregiver was not sensitive to the capabilities, interests and problems of children in care as evidenced by : preschool caregiver Alex could be heard through the closed classroom door yelling at children to lay down on their cots. In addition, to one child, she yelled, "You should have went to the bathroom when I told you to go." The child kept saying he had to go "pooh." In addition, as I stood out in the foyer, I could hear staff in both preschool classrooms yelling loudly at children to lay down. I asked the 2-year-old caregivers if they had received any training on dealing with children, per last inspection discussion, and they stated they had not. Therefore, because yelling continues and no training has been given, this remains an open violation. It should be noted that resources for training have been offered to the facility acting director, Lexy Sisson. Licensing Rule Reference 19 CSR 30-62.102 Personnel (1) (E) states: Caregivers shall have knowledge of the needs of children and shall be sensitive to the capabilities, interests, and problems of children in care. Correction Required Caregivers shall meet child care personnel requirements.
