For facilities initially licensed after the effective date of these rules or for the installation of new fences in existing facilities, the fence shall be at least forty-two inches (42") high. An outdoor play area used exclusively for school-age children shall not be required to have a fence. Fences shall be constructed to prevent children from crawling or falling through or becoming entrapped.

The provider did not follow required procedures for accidents, injuries and emergency medical care as evidenced by parents were not notified immediately when a child was injured on 12/8/2021. CI Wilmesher observed in the toddler room, an incident report in which the injury to a child (marks left on forehead caused by a fall at the facility). The time of the incident was noted as 8:40 a.m. and the method of notification to parent was indicated "written." CI Wilmesher discussed the report with the staff member who completed the report, Cassidy Shoemate, who stated that the parent was notified at the time she picked up of the child's injury by providing her a copy of the report.
