Violation Requirements for infant/toddler sleeping equipment were not met as evidenced by a crib/playpen was not provided for each infant in that the provider has closed and is not using 4 infant classrooms. All of the toys, shelves and equipment are still present in the facility, but all of the cribs have been removed except for 3 remaining cribs. The provider is going to submit a revision form to decrease capacity. Since CI Ray-Warnke was present for an anniversary inspection the provider needed to have 28 cribs available for children under 12 months. The provider is licensed for 28 children under 12 months. The provider is short 25 cribs. Licensing Rule Reference 5 CSR 25-500.092 Furniture, Equipment and Materials (1) (B) 2. A. states: An individually assigned crib, portable crib or playpen shall be provided and used for each infant and toddler. Stack cribs shall not be used. Licensing Rule Reference 5 CSR 25-500.102 Personnel (4) . states: Safe Sleep Training. Every three (3) years the center director, group child care home provider, all other caregivers, and those volunteers who are counted in staff/child ratios in a group child care home or child care center licensed to provide care for infants less than one (1) year of age shall successfully complete department-approved training regarding the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) safe sleep recommendations contained in the American Academy of Pediatrics Task Force on Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
