On May 11, 2023, the Office of Childhood (OOC) received an allegation that Lamb's Bride Child Care Center had an ant infestation in the play area. After conducting an investigation, Compliance Inspector (CI) Patrick O'Malley has found this allegation to be substantiated based on the following evidence:
5 CSR 25-300.080 (1) which states: "The premises of facilities shall be clean and free of unsanitary conditions and observable insects, spiders and rodents."
On May 11, 2023, director Linda Mosby stated that the facility had a problem with ants and was being professionally treated.
On May 11, 2023, teacher Alisha Franklin stated that she had observed piles of dead ants in the corners of the toddler room about once a week since she started working at the facility two years prior.

The facility shall notify all staff members of the violations which were substantiated, and specify the actions to be taken by all staff in order to comply with all violations cited. A copy of the memo, letter, or staff meeting agenda shall be submitted to the Office of Childhood.
