Conclusion Summary
Compliance Inspector Jessica Graham investigated the allegation that on September 26th, 2023 there were 7 toddlers a caregiver scooped up one child every time and left the other caregiver in the room to attend to 6 toddlers by herself while she when who knows were. She has also stepped out of the room to got to the bathroom leaving the class out of ratio. This allegation is substantiated based on the following rule violation: 5 CSR 25-500.112(1) which states: "The following staff/child ratios shall be maintained on the premises at all times:" AND 5 CSR 25-500.112(1)(A) which states: "Birth Through Two (2) Years. Groups composed of mixed ages through two (2) years shall have no less than one (1) adult to four (4) children, with no more than eight (8) children in a group." On October 3, 2023, caregiver Destiny Rawlings said that a caregiver would step in her classroom while she should have been working in the classroom next to her. Typically there is not ratio issues in the classrooms, but this morning she was left with five infants by herself for a while before moving around children to make things correct.
