Conclusion Summary
Compliance Inspector (CI) Heather Radney conducted an investigation of the allegation that the facility failed to report when a contagious disease of pink eye was present in the facility. 5 CSR 25-500.192(2)(B), which states: "Each child's parent(s) shall be notified immediately when any contagious disease occurs in the facility." On November 17, 2023, caregiver Alesia King stated that the do normally post a sign by the door notifying parents of any contagious disease or illness. However, she forgot to post a recent notice when a child was diagnosed with pink eye. They have two current doctor's notes for two children who are siblings with pink eye, in addition to Child A who is suspected to also have pink eye.
