If the facility operates less than forty (40) hours per week, the center director or group child care home provider shall be on duty at least fifty percent (50%) of the operating hours.

On July 15, 2024, the Office of Childhood (OOC) received a report alleging that the director is not at the facility as required by licensing rules. Compliance Inspector (CI) Radney conducted an investigation and found the allegation to be substantiated based on the following information:

If the facility operates less than forty (40) hours per week, the center director or group child care home provider shall be on duty at least fifty percent (50%) of the operating hours.
On July 17, 2024, CI Radney conducted interviews with April Thomas, Macy Parsons and Juan Cruz. April reported she is the provider at this location. She is not here for 40 hours a week and works between three different facilities. Macy reported April is sometimes here at this location but is not here 40 hours a week. Juan reported April bounces around between the other facilities and here but is not here 40 hours a week.
On July 17, 2024, CI Radney conducted an unannounced inspection. April Thomas was not present when CI Radney arrived at the facility. Megan Ball notified April of the inspection and April came to the facility.

The facility shall notify all caregivers (paid employees and paid or unpaid volunteers) of the violations which were substantiated and specify the actions to be taken by the provider, in order to comply with all violations cited. A copy of the memo, letter, or meeting agenda shall be submitted to the Office of Childhood.
