Conclusion Summary
Child A was not being fed as directed by feeding instructions. The infant was not given breast milk as scheduled, on time. 5 CSR 25-500.202(2)(B)., which states: "The written diet plan for each infant/toddler shall be followed. The parent(s) shall update the plan according to the individual needs of the child until they grant permission in writing for the child to eat table foods." AND 5 CSR 25-500.222(10)., which states: "All records shall be available in the facility for inspection by the department upon request." On October 17, 2024, caregivers Morgan Derousse and Kathy Polich said that Child A missed feedings once while at the facility. Morgan said that Child A was supposed to receive a bottle of breast milk after her lunch but that bottle was missed. Kathy said that Child A was moved over to another toddler classroom and her bottle of breast milk was not given to her. Parent A was notified of the missed feeding as soon as it was realized. The caregivers are now using timers to alert them of feedings. Child A did not have a file available for review, therefore Child A's enrollment form and feeding plan instructions by the parent/guardian could not be verified. CI Graham attempted to call Parent A but no contact was made.

The facility shall notify all caregivers (paid employees and paid or unpaid volunteers) of the violations which were substantiated and specify the actions to be taken by all caregivers, in order to comply with all violations cited.
