On July 14, 2025, the Office of Childhood (OOC) received a report alleging staff are not up-to-date and current with their training clock hours. Compliance Inspector (CI) JD Greer conducted an unannounced investigation and found the allegation to be substantiated based on the following information:
5 CSR 25-500.102(3)(A) which states, "The center director, group child care home provider, all other caregivers, and those volunteers who are counted in staff/child ratios shall obtain at least twelve (12) clock hours of child-care related training during each calendar year. Clock hour training shall be approved by the department."
On July 16, 2025, Compliance Inspector (CI) JD Greer interviewed Owner Julita Harris. Julita stated she believes some of her staff are not up to date on their training. Julita confirmed that Teachers Kathy Milichichi and Michelle Paxson are short on their training hours for 2024.
On July 16, 2025, CI Greer reviewed the staff report with Owner Julita Harris and observed Teacher Kathy Milichichi was short two clock hours for the 2024 clock hour year. Teacher Michelle Paxson was short 10 clock hours for the 2024 clock hour year.
On July 21, 2025, CI Greer reviewed the staff report for the facility and observed Teacher Kathy Milichichi was short two clock hours for the 2024 clock hour year. Teacher Michelle Paxson was short four clock hours for the 2024 clock hour year.
On August 25, 2025, CI Greer reviewed the staff report for the facility and observed Teacher Kathy Milichichi was short two clock hours for the 2024 clock hour year. Teacher Michelle Paxson was short two clock hours for the 2024 clock hour year.
