On July 15, 2025, the Office of Childhood (OOC) received a report alleging parents are not notified until pick up of accidents and injuries that occur unless they are severe. Compliance Inspector (CI) JD Greer conducted an unannounced investigation and found the allegation to be substantiated based on the following information:

On July 16, 2025, CI Greer interviewed Director-in-Training Carol Harkless, Parent A (Parent of Child A), and Assistant Director Brooklyn McGaugh. Parent A is a teacher at the facility. Parent A stated there have been times where she was not notified that her child was injured. Carol stated if a child has a head injury or an injury that requires medical attention, they will contact the parent immediately. Parents are not notified of minor accidents and injuries until the end of the day. Brooklyn stated parents are not notified immediately for all accidents and injuries that occur.
