On October 3, 2025, the Office of Childhood (OOC) received an allegation that: Facility is caring for more than four children under the age of 24 months. After conducting an investigation, Compliance Inspector (CI) Michelle Honea has found this allegation to be substantiated based on the following evidence:
5 CSR 25-300.090(2)(E) which states: "At least thirty-five (35) square feet of usable floor space for each preschool and school-age child, and at least forty-five (45) square feet of usable floor space for each infant/toddler."
On October 8, 2025, Compliance Inspector (CI) Michelle Honea conducted an unannounced inspection to the facility and interviewed Director Heather Clark and Danny Clark. Both staff stated they understand the limit was four under 2-years-old. Both stated they had their grandchild today which made them go over the limit and that normally their grandchild only comes on Monday when one of the other children is gone. Both staff stated it was just a last-minute urgency to have their grandchild today and they will not let it happen again. CI Honea observed Director Heather Clark and Danny Clark were with thirteen children ages 7-months-old, 11-months-old, 15-months-old, 21-months-old, 22-months-old, and (eight) 3-year-olds to 5-year-olds.
On October 22, 2025, Compliance Inspector (CI) Michelle Honea conducted an unannounced re-inspection at the facility and interviewed Director Heather Clark and Danny Clark. Both staff stated their grandchild is now in another daycare full time and will not be attending their daycare. CI Honea observed Director Heather Clark and Danny Clark were with twelve children ages 7-months-old, 11-months-old, 21-months-old, 22-months-old, and (eight) 3-year-olds to 5-year-olds.
