On October 10, 2025, the Office of Childhood (OOC) received a report alleging that they can only care for 10 children, but they cared for 16 during the review period. After conducting the investigation, Compliance Inspector (CI) Curtis West finds the allegation is substantiated. This conclusion is based on the following evidence of a licensing rule violation that occurred at the facility:
5 CSR 25-400.045 (18), which states "The number and ages of children a family child care home is authorized to have in care at any one time shall be specified on the license and shall not be exceeded except as permitted within these rules."
On October 16, 2025, CI West received an email with the handwritten parental attendance sign in sheet from Tanisha. The attendance sheets reflected that the daycare had several days and times when there were more than 10 children present. On July 1, 2025, there were 11 children present from 8:49-8:52 a.m. and 12 children present from 4:48-5:50 p.m. On July 2, 2025, there were 11 children present from 7:54-8:30 a.m.; 8:51-9:50 a.m.; and 10-11:15 a.m. On July 3, 2025, there were 11 children present from 2:30-3:00 p.m.
On December 9, 2025, CI West interviewed Provider Tanisha Williams, who stated that when the attendance sheets showed more than 10 children in attendance outside of her approved overlap period, it was because the parents of several daytime attending children would be late to pick up their children.
