All medication shall be safely stored at proper temperature and shall be kept in a secured location behind at least one (1) locked door or cabinet. If access is controlled by the resident, a secured location shall mean in a locked container, a locked drawer in a bedside table or dresser or in a resident ' s private room if locked in his/her absence, although this does not preclude access by a responsible employee of the facility.
